U.S. Gypsum releases ENVIRO-BLANKET™ Brand Wood Fiber Hydraulic Mulches
The Specialty Products Division of United States Gypsum Company has introduced ENVIRO-BLANKET™ Brand Wood Fiber Hydraulic Mulches that offers a low-cost solution for minimizing erosion on any size revegetation project.
ENVIRO-BLANKET is available with or without tackifier and is manufactured from 100% contaminant-free virgin wood fiber. Safe and non-toxic, the product is suitable to be spray-applied for turf lawns, golf courses and many other general planting purposes.
"The new wood hydraulic mulches consist of long strands of virgin wood fiber and is available with a premium-based calcium sulfate hemi-hydrate (CaSO4·1/2H2O) tackifier for holding power allowing the product to stick to soil particles while also holding the seed and fertilizer in place", said Brad Fogel, market manager for U.S. Gypsum's Specialty Products Division. It also offers an excellent solution in areas where public safety may be a concern, such as around schools, golf courses, housing developments, retail areas, roads and airports.
Packaged in 50-lb. bags, ENVIRO-BLANKET Brand Hydraulic Mulches are completely biodegradable and harmless to fish, birds, plants and animals.
